  • Directly responsible and final authority for pre-flight planning, performance calculations, and safe operations of company aircraft while delivering on our department's mission. Part 91 & 135 PIC current on CE-510 (Mustang) and CE-525C (CJ4) Aircraft.
  • Rewrote the flight department's Safety Management System (SMS) to reflect modern safety initiatives and industry practices.
  • Led efforts to write and implement our Emergency Response Plan
  • Implemented an online safety management reporting system utilizing WBAT which increased hazard reporting by 500% in the first 6 months.
  • Wrote and manage our own Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) and Mechanics Safety Action Program (MSAP) in partnership with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), a self-managed program that encourages self-reporting of safety related procedural deviations. This has dramatically improved department perception of our safety program and significantly helped to establish a just culture environment.
  • Developed monthly safety reports to bring visibility to reoccurring hazards, Fight Risk Assessment Tool completion ratios, and potential gaps in our SOP and SMS programs.
  • Completed our first department wide safety assurance audit which identified three separate findings and established a baseline for compliance moving forward.
  • Completed our first Safety Risk Assessment (SRA) change management process which evaluated the addition of a new helicopter type to our fleet. We identified 26 potential hazards, implemented 30 risk controls, and identified several serious hazards that were safely addressed and mitigated through the process.
  • Wrote and implemented our department's Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) which dramatically improved our Crew Resource Management (CRM) in the cockpit, and improved efficiency and safety throughout our operation.
  • Developed a customer feedback survey which is distributed to all passengers/customers and helps our department measure customer perception and ensure world-class service levels.

  • Developed and managed all pilot training including in-house refresher courses, and external simulator training.
  • Implemented a contract fuel program saving the operation over $27K the first year.
  • Negotiated an external dry leases with a local corporation which offset our fixed costs by over $15K
  • Implemented changes to aircraft maintenance schedule saving $14K per year in unnecessary inspections.
  • Assisted and managed the addition of JOC aircraft to the Butler Aviation, Inc. charter certificate creating offset revenue significantly reducing our fixed costs.
