My flight experience and background in IT Support as well as my education in physics and mathematics make me an excellent candidate for safely and efficiently conducting flight operations.
My education makes me particularly well suited to being a pilot. I recently completed flight school with a commercial pilot certificate and will be an asset in safely conducting flight operations. As a physics and astronomy major at Brigham Young University I developed a strong background in mathematics and problem solving. This experience allows me to make significant contributions as a pilot.
My work experience as both a teaching assistant and as an IT support specialist aids me in analytical decision making and problem solving. While working as an IT support specialist I assisted over 100 employees from all other departments with computer related issues in a timely and professional manner. I also ran a weekly server wide backup of sensitive data. As a teaching assistant, I worked closely with other teaching assistants in a collaborative weekly meeting where we prepared to aid students in the upcoming week. During the week, I routinely calmed distraught students and facilitated an understanding of difficult physics concepts.
Overall, my experiences will help me in being a safe and efficient pilot. My flight training emphasized risk mitigation and effective single pilot and crew resource management. While my education and work background gives me strong analytical and trouble shooting skills.
